I had no troubles using kernel-patch-lm-sensors with 2.4.27. Just get the kernel source, make clean, make oldconfig, apply the kernel patch, make-kpkg clean make-kpkg --bzimage --initrd etc. etc.
As I had to apply the mppe kernel patch as well, it was only one extra step. The hardest part I've found so far is actually getting /etc/sensors.conf calibrated right for the hardware, which I've now got 95% done. ----------------------- Peter Cole Network Administration Datacare Pty Ltd Helpdesk: (07) 3373 1111 Fax: (07) 3373 1199 Email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] -----Original Message----- From: Juri Haberland [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Saturday, 11 December 2004 12:24 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: no lm-sensors modules for kernel-2.4? Hi list, does anyone know why there isn't a package called lm-sensors-2.4-xxx in the repository? The reason I ask is that I switched from kernel 2.6 to 2.4 on a newly installed Sarge system and I'm trying now to get lm-sensors to work again, but as the lm-sensors modules are not part of kernel-image-2.4.x, the README.Debian of package lm-sensors suggests to either build from source (which I would like to avoid) or to install the package lm-sensors-2.4-xxx, which isn't available - so no lm-sensors modules for Sarge without building a custom kernel :( Any hints?
