I do not really know, but http://ftp-master.debian.org/testing/update_excuses.html does. It is a bit cryptic, so use http://bjorn.haxx.se/debian/ to get a more readable explanation. (If you just can't remember the address, e.g. you are at a computer where you haven't access to your bookmarks, just ask google: "why is x not in testing" :^) ) I suggest to go to http://packages.debian.org/ and do a (substring) search, because the above site needs the exact package name. > The reason I ask is that I switched from kernel 2.6 to 2.4 on a newly > installed Sarge system and I'm trying now to get lm-sensors to work > again, but as the lm-sensors modules are not part of kernel-image-2.4.x, > the README.Debian of package lm-sensors suggests to either build from > source (which I would like to avoid) or to install the package > lm-sensors-2.4-xxx, which isn't available - so no lm-sensors modules for > Sarge without building a custom kernel :( I haven't tested this, but you could download the source (.deb) packages (i2c, too, I think) from unstable (use packages.d.o if you don't want to change your sources.list, install them and build with (module-assistant [?]) a module package for your kernel. > Any hints? HTH. Would be nice, if you would write your results here (esp. if there are problems with that procedure). > Cheers, > Juri Regards, Mike -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
