Ola,

Acho que estou encontrando o caminho...

A mensagem de erro que aparece no console, logo apos o X encerrar rapidamente,
quando mando o gnome delisgar o micro é:

No log do kernel aparece o seguinte erro:

Se eu tento desativar o APM do /dev/hda, repete-se o erro:

Entao, em algum lugar esta ajustado para o hd ser 254.

Já para o /dev/sda, tudo ok:

Então, acho que nas atualizacoes que fiz foi atualizado algum programa que mudou
as configuracoes de APM para os hds e meu sistema "se esqueceu" que eu tenho um
SATA e um CD Room.

Ja olhei no hdparm.conf e nao há nada de estranho nele. Alias, la so tem um quit
nao comentado. O resto esta tudo comentado.

Nao sei se estou no caminho, mas se alguem tiver outras ideias para me dar,
agradeceria.
