How long of a wait?

If I understand this correctly, users of 'testing' (currently 'sarge')
can do *nothing* when new security problems arise? They must wait for
the fix in 'unstable' to make it into testing.

Sounds like 'testing' contains a "window" during which "bad people"
could do "bad things" ...

Thanks for any further clarifications!
