It's a PII 266 (not overclocked) with a 300 watt power supply. I changd it a couple of months ago. The poweroff occur during the boot sequence or when the system has booted and is running for a couple of days. It seems to reboot when it start accessing the harddrive during the ext3 checks or at least that's the impression that i get. Could a bad sector be causing these random shutdowns? Server is used to share the internet connection. Stupid question: Is there such a thing as to much power? Maybe my mother board isn't designed for this? Anyway, i already some leads i can follow to determine what the problem is. Thanks Hugh & Nate for your comments. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
