I think I figured out what it was: My ATT Cable (which was bought by comcast) has a seperate account profile at www.comcast.com instead of my internet which is at www.comcast.net. The email associated with that was the one getting the spam, and it had seperate "do not contact me" preferences than www.comcast.net.
