I wanted to upgrade from apache1.3 to an apache2 environment, but found myself puzzled with the following dependency problem:
# apt-get install apache2-common -s Reading Package Lists... Done Building Dependency Tree... Done The following extra packages will be installed: libmagic1 The following packages will be REMOVED: amavisd-new file The following NEW packages will be installed: apache2-common libmagic1 0 packages upgraded, 2 newly installed, 2 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Remv amavisd-new (20030616p9-1 Debian:testing) Remv file (3.37-3.1.woody.1 Debian-Security:3.0/stable, Debian:3.0r2/stable) Inst libmagic1 (4.09-1 Debian:testing) Inst apache2-common (2.0.49-1 Debian:testing) Conf libmagic1 (4.09-1 Debian:testing) Conf apache2-common (2.0.49-1 Debian:testing) "file" is a dependency of amavisd-new, but I cant find no reference to why apache2 is blocking file ? Can I force them to be installed anyway or not ? Regards, Stefan Vunckx -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
