And what version of the kernel are you using?



Excellent question! I had forgotten that I had also upgraded to kernel 2.6.9. With this version, I have the problem that I reported above (moreover burning CD is totally impossible, since the device is not recognised at all, when I select "New Data CD Project" under K3B). I switched back to 2.6.7 and could successfully burn a Data CD as well as a Data DVD!

Thank you for asking the right question.

By the way, was I wrong when using kernel 2.6.9 (e.g. violating some dependency) or is this a bug?
