We use ntop in our network and even though I think it is a very good tool I also think it is overkill for what you want. If you are using a box with iptables on it then ipac-ng or ulog-acctd will probably be more what you're looking for. I am using ipac-ng, but I am considering switching to ulog-acctd because I am getting second thoughts with ipac-ng.
