Hi Tux Guru's! I'm trying to install Debian Sarge onto Motherboard Asus P5GD1, but I have strongly problems to detect hard drive. I have 1 IDE disk and 4 SATA disk correctly mounted on board (BIOS recognize those), but dmesg NOT FOUND 2 SATA DISK AND IDE DISK!
On first step I lauched Knoppix Live with Kernel 2.6 , and dmesg is result of Knoppix hardware detection. All disks are empty. You can help me? It can be useful http://ta.twi.tudelft.nl/DV/Staff/Lemmens/linux_p5gd1.html ~# fdisk -l Disk /dev/sda: 300.0 GB, 300090728448 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 36483 cylinders Units = cilindri of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes Disk /dev/sdb: 300.0 GB, 300090728448 bytes 255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 36483 cylinders Units = cilindri of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes ~# dmesg (very long) 6>SELinux: Initializing.
