hey matt, i'm have access to a win2k box and don't have said problem, so it's confusing to say the least :). it might be worthwhile to try and see where things are breaking using some kind of packet sniffer.
try running tcpdump (or ethereal, which is a nice gtk frontend) and
see if that gives any clues. also, if you can get cygwin installed
on your windows box, try installing/compiling netcat, which might
also help determine where the problem is.
