I use neither XEmacs nor VM, so I'm not sure. But I think on
reasonably current versions you should be able to set
user-mail-address, like so:
(setq user-mail-address "[EMAIL PROTECTED]")
Please note that this *must not* contain you real name, nor any "<" or
"(".
