I was right! In order for quota to work, the new user *MUST* have existing file(s) on the file system. I'm using Debian 1.3.1 and I'm soon going to upgrade to the unstable version of Debian, containing adduser 3.4. I know adduser 3.2 does not touch the mail file, does adduser 3.4? If not.. can someone help me with the perl script? Here is what I want to add:
touch /var/spool/mail/$new_name chmod 0600 /var/spool/mail/$new_name If this isn't in adduser 3.4, can someone else add it please? Thanks -Paul -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] . Trouble? e-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
