Just as a side note, that isn't correct. Those to asm, linux directories
(don't know about scsi, but probably that one too) are provided by
the libc*-dev package, and you shouldn't mess around with them.

See /usr/doc/libc*-dev/FAQ.Debian.gz for more info.

Still, that probably isn't the cause of your error.
