hi, sorry to be so chatty tonight...
i installed xmix, and it works fine for root, but when i try to run it as mattyt, i get the error message: Error opening mixer device: Permission denied ...and yet, when i ls -l xmix, i get: -rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 17032 Nov 17 1996 /usr/bin/X11/xmix umm...isn't mattyt a member of 'o' and shouldn't i then be able to 'x' xmix? thanks, matty -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
