Hi, there are a couple of things to consider ie 1) is a single user 
system or a multi-user 2) how much space do you have to allocate to a 
swap partition 3) What type of processes are you running ( are they 
memory hogs) 
Now that I have probably made you really mad. here is what i think
single user system 50meg
multi user system 100meg
another rule is 3 times the ram you have.
probable 100 megs would be fine.
