I've seen this one before. It can be caused by 2 controllers using the same interrupt. (Quick story) I purchased a used ethernet card without setup software. When I added it to the system, I found out that it was mapped to the same IRQ as my cdrom drive. I saw the same message as above. Win95 would not even recognise either card or cdrom drive. Anyhow I found the setup software and re-assigned the IRQ of the card.
