YES!! I downgraded the compface package to 89.11.11-9 and now, after many attempts and many megabytes of downloaded packages, I finally have a working Xemacs 19.15. I guess a similar solution, but with more libraries involved, goes for the 'bo' version of xemacs. And I think that xemacs20 is just plain buggy or it depends on some libc6 library I don't have. BTW, can somebody take a close look at the 'Dependencies:' line of the xemacs20 package? I think there is definately something wrong here. AFAIK libc6 should go with ncurses3.4 (not 3.0) and elf-x11r6lib is obsolete[1]. Remco [1] Is elf-x11r6lib really obsolete? I saw a lot of packages in /var/lib/dpkg/available that still depend on it. -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
