I am a fairly new Linux (Debian) user, still customizing my kernel. I have added sound support (module) for my Gravis Ultrasound card, and can now play .wav files and .mod files. However, when I try to play .mid files using playmidi, I get oodles of errors of the form Gus: Undefined patch 0 for voice x where x varies from message to message. I can guess what the message means, but I have no idea regarding the cause. Can anyone offer suggestions?
