Try running X with `-bpp 16' or `-bpp 24'. (bpp == bits per pixel) Default bpp is 8. If you use startx, you should say startx -bpp 16 (or was it `startx -- -bpp 16') If you use xdm, change the line in /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers :0 local /path/to/X to :0 local /path/to/X -bpp 16 - Hari -- Raja R Harinath ------------------------------ [EMAIL PROTECTED] "When all else fails, read the instructions." -- Cahn's Axiom "Our policy is, when in doubt, do the right thing." -- Roy L Ash -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
