Hi, I'd like to ask for some advice on a new system I want to build. I'd like to have a Windows 95 filesystem installed on an IDE disk and a Linux (Debian 1.3.1) on a SCSI disk. I have a generic EIDE controller with HD and CDROM currently, and will be installing an Adaptec 2842 in addition with a SCSI disk on it.
I already have Win95 on the IDE disk I want to use, and want to install the SCSI disk. Do I need to do anything special to get it to boot properly? Always before I've had all-Windows or all-Linux boxes, to make things simpler, and basically I'd like some advice on how to set this up. I would also like to be able to access the Win95 partition from within Linux. --Bill. -- William R Ward Bay View Consulting http://www.bayview.com/~hermit/ [EMAIL PROTECTED] 1803 Mission St. #339 voicemail +1 408/479-4072 [EMAIL PROTECTED] Santa Cruz CA 95060 USA pager +1 408/458-8862 -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
