I can reliably non-reliably reproduce it by doing:
echo /var/lib/dpkg/available | afio ...
This fails about 1/5 of the time. That file causes the error more than most
other files. So does available-old. Should I switch to pgp instead?
What can cause intermittent problems like this? This is for backups, so it
makes a difference.
