This was just an example.  There are other modules for other onboard
audio devices.  (I have an Intel i810 motherboard, so I use that
module.)  Try checking http://www.tldp.org/ and their Sound HOWTO, and
also check http://www.alsa-project.org/ to see if your card is
supported under ALSA, and what driver it uses.
