hello- not sure if this is where i should mention this -- please redirect me if that is the case :-)
i've tried the hamm installation disks dated 1998-02-21 and cannot partition the hard drive i want to install on to. i get a message about not being able to detect the hard disk. during the boot process, the scsi card is recognized (tekram), and the hard disk is also recognized (scsi: 1 host -- an ultra wide ibm 4.3 gig hard disk). i've tried the disks on identical hardware w/ the same results. has anyone else had any luck w/ this kind of setup? -sen p.s. w/ the disks dated feb 18th, i successfully installed a system (this was for an ide drive though), but i had a few problems: 1) i needed to install some packages (mostly perl-related) to get the ftp method of dselect to work 2) could not make a boot disk -- i tried quite a few different floppies but i kept getting a 'boot disk creation failure' message. -- TO UNSUBSCRIBE FROM THIS MAILING LIST: e-mail the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED] .
