I have upgrade using autoup, and am now having some problems installing zlib1g (required by rpm and other progs) and xpm4g (required by icewm, fvwm2 etc.), using dpkg -i, as:
xpm4g confilicts with xpm4.7 (<=3.4j-0) zlib1g " " zlib1 (<=1.1.0.4.7) I am hesitant of removing xpm4.7 and zlib1, as I don't know what other packages that might break.
