If your system is working correctly otherwise, it is safe to put the
following lines into your /etc/conf.modules file:
alias net-pf-5 off
alias char-major-10 off
For the meaning of these lines and some other helpful information
please consult the /usr/src/linux/Documentation/modules.txt file.
