I've re-built my kernel so as to enable the sound card nad noe deselect(apt) wants desparately to upgrade my kernel-image to a "newer" version. I minused it, and now it asks to remove the kernel and when I decline, it gives a configuration error.
How can I trick dselect into accepting my kernel compiled from source as the right stuff. BTW I used make-kpkg (thanks Manoj) and installed with dpkg -i kernel-image-2.0.34*deb -- ----------------------------------------- Ralph Winslow [EMAIL PROTECTED] <Insert sardonic phrase here>
