I imagine you have no NIC? If so, then for people that do, probably dont need to do this. e.g.: 127.0.0.1 localhost 192.168.0.1 omnic.rumpus.net omnic [various other hosts] Is in my /etc/hosts file, and omnic is my hostname, and that IP belongs to this box..
