First, you have to install the new version of libstdc++2.8, then libc6. The old version of libstdc++2.8 conflicts with the new version of libc6 (vice versa), but several other applications may depend on libstdc++2.8, so it would not be wise to remove it completely. Good luck! Later, Tamas
