everybody learns in different ways. that's for sure. so the stroustrup book may be the one for you.
however, i have had much more success with other books (like the primer). while he may be a buddha when it comes to writing languages, i don't think stroustrup is that great of a teacher ... so far. the book is good to have because it is THE WORD on the language. but i'd go elsewhere to learn... best of luck, ari ==> shaul writes: > Can you recommend a good C++ book ?
