In /etc/chatscripts/provider (or whatever your "provider" file is named), add a line "OK ATM0" (that's a "zero", not a letter "O") just before the dial command, like so: <snippit of provider file> ABORT "NO DIALTONE" ABORT "NO ANSWER" "" ATZ OK ATM0 OK ATDT555-1234 CONNECT \d\c <end of snippit>
