My guess - you have a different type of PCMCIA chip. When you configure the PCMCIA (if I remember correctly, it is pcmcia-config program), it tells you, that there are two differend kinds of chips and asks you to select one. I guess yours is not Intel i82365, but the other one. Sergey.
