Here is a lilo file I use:

boot = /dev/hda
root = /dev/hdb2
install = /boot/boot.b
map = /boot/map
vga = normal
delay = 50
ramdisk = 0

read-only
default = linux

image = /vmlinuz
label = Debian
alias = linux

image = /boot/vmlinbackup
label = backup

other = /dev/hda1
label = MS
table = /dev/hda

The last 2 blocks are responsible for loading different OSs( backup kernel
and windows). You can just change this around a little and dos loading
would work for you.
