quick latex question

Hi,
        How do I do this in Latex:

        Foo                                     bar


        that is, I want flushright the "bar" word. I tried
        \begin{flushright} and it starts a new pagraph. I also tried
        \raggedright and it gives error, coz I am using this within a
        \begin{list}. The error is:

        ! LaTeX Error: There's no line here to end.
