I was about to burn an iso image with cdrecord and it all seemed to be ok, until i got this message:
Mar 13 22:27:33 hangar18 kernel: scsi : aborting command due to timeout : pid 232406, scsi0, channel 0, id 4, lun 0 Write (10) 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 10 00 and now the burner is locked. I've tried to do: echo "scsi remove-single-device 0 0 4 0" > /proc/scsi/scsi but it only complains about the file already existing. (/proc/scsi/scsi: File exists.) is there noway i can unlock the burner without rebooting? I have the scsi card in kernel so no I can't rmmod it and then reinsert.
