the reason we do not ship a libc6 based communicator is that it will die often and more often with SIGBUS errors. To test: open a ns window, use open new window (so you have two). Close one of them. BOOM. No more ns. Also dies on authenticating sites and other things. Last I heard it was related to a bug in Motif <-> Xlib interactions and compiler optimizations.
