Yes, if you get the packages via http (or ftp?). If you have the .deb files, then you use dpkg (eg: dpkg -i package.deb). Apt will get all the packages listed in the dependency tree that are related to the package you are installing for you; whereas dpkg checks the unmet dependency. Oki
