However, you can use pppconfig to create the usual suite of ppp config files for your dialup account to be used with diald. Then you can point diald to that config with a "connect" line in the diald's diald.option file like this one : connect "/usr/sbin/chat -v -f /etc/chatscripts/theschool" (assuming that you defined a provider named "theschool" with pppconfig.) Note that this does not affect the "ip-up" and "ip-down" scripts.
