I know nothing about Stormix, but as a Debian user myself, perhaps the following will help:- In /etc/apt/sources.list, ensure you have a line which reads deb http://http.us.debian.org/debian stable main contrib non-free Get on-line and issue the command apt-get update After apt-get has downloaded the various package files, you can then issue various `apt-get install package ...' commands. Alternatively, you can use `dselect' for friendlier package management. It will even help you set up the `/etc/apt/sources.list' file.
