Hi I'm using Debian/GNU Linux 2.2 and the Helix-Gnome desktop. The problem is, that the 'gshutdown' program wants to be run as root. So I always have to log in as root and shut down the computer. How can I change 'gshutdown' so that a normal user can run it, too? I tried to set it suid root, but this caused the problem, that root is not allowed to display his windows on a user's screen (any idea how to change this, too?).
