Joel,

I use VIM for everything, not just mutt, so I added:

export VISUAL=vim
export EDITOR=vim

to my .bash_profile...tho nate's solution works equally well.

Hi Joel.

In ~./mutt/muttrc check this line:

set editor=/usr/bin/vim

That's all I had to do.
