^-not suid.that will also cause this problem, though the error above still looked more like you were not a member of group dip... make sure /usr/sbin/pppd is setuid root, if not run: chmod 4754 /usr/sbin/pppd -- Ethan Benson http://www.alaska.net/~erbenson/
