Use a frontend like capt or aptitude, there's a whole bunch of packages to uninstall. You could also use dselect :P if you're really a masochist... BTW, you can get a list of packages presently installed on your system by using dpkg -l|less (pipe it through a pager, I use less, it's a huge output...) if you really like the idea of going through package-by-package.
