Dear all! I have been asked to start looking into providing an EPOS system for the shop that I work at. I am hoping to be able to develop all the software myself (using Perl and the GTK+ bindings). However, I have no idea about how well or otherwise bar code scanners work under Linux.
Does anyone have any information as to which scanners are particularly good/bad and how they should be connected etc etc, and the same for cash-drawer triggers? Any info is very gratefully received. Matthew -- Using intelligent power: RISC OS, Be OS, Debian Linux Enjoying computing.
