Uhm, I assumed that since he knew how to mount it explicitly he also knew how to enter it in /etc/fstab *if* he wanted it at startup. And as he noted autofs I thought it was just a question regarding its configuration.That may have been incorrect. :) > Now I've never used automounting at all. It saves typing, as you can omit su, sudo etc. and the actual mount command. Ok ok, it's for the real lazy kind like me .. ;) On the other hand, if you wanted to remove, say, a floppy before autofs's timeout, you do need to unmount it explicitly to ensure it syncs back.
