I've never used i810 with XF86 3.3.6 but at least XF86 4.xx requires
agpgart module.

Propably you should compile yourself your own kernel from sources. If
you want to make it in Debian way install 'kernel-package' package and
read its docs. At least 2.2.18 includes agpgart module. If you will
compile agpgart as module don't forget to load it before running X
server.
