Thank you very much. I don't feel too dumb... There wasn't any sort of error message. Now I'm stuck again. Netscape complains about the existence of a lock file in the .netscape subdirectory of my home directory. Far as I can tell, there is only a bookmarks.htm file in there. I looked for hidden files but no.
