Actually, it will create a directory called (appropriately)
kernel-source-2.2.19, which can be left as-is. (That's one of a few
differences between a kernel-source-....deb and a tarball downloaded
from kernel.org)

Also, as I think someone else has already pointed out, if you're
looking for a kernel header, try a kernel-headers package instead of a
kernel-source.
