Hello all, trying to set up X on my new box (AMD Thunderbird 1,4 GHz on a Elitegroup K7VZA-100 Rev. 3) for my no-name GeForce2 MX 200 (64 MB RAM), I am confronted with those two problems:
1) I have installed xfree86-common 4.1.0-2, xserver-xfree8 4.1.0-2, wmaker 0.65.1.-1 and set up my XF86Config-4 properly (at least I think so...). When I start X via 'startx', windowmaker starts normal but after a short time, the Xfree86-process uses 99.9% CPU and therefor windowmaker is not longer usable. 2) When I have to quit windowmaker (see above), and my box switches back to console, I am presented a blank screen, and I have to reboot the system. Any hint appreciated!
