Yes.

So would a change in your user name.  Most people have mail addressed
from/to 'webmaster' sent to an Admin mailbox.  I check my Admin
mailbox infrequently so just now found your mail.  With something
other then webmaster, your mail would have been the debian-user
mailbox, where it belongs.

Some people even dump webmaster mail, as spam, to the bit bucket.
